Our Pastor
Adam M. Mixon is our Pastor. He is a trained, licensed, and ordained Baptist minister from Cincinnati, Ohio. He was educated at the University of Cincinnati, the Samford University in Birmingham, AL, Beeson Divinity School, Birmingham, AL., and Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, GA. He has served in various positions within our State and District associations.
Pastor Mixon encourages sound doctrine but places heavy emphases on the practicality of our faith.
Adam believes strongly in need to make disciples and not just church members! He is the author of over twenty books including Sacred Friendship: Building Healthy Relationships and Pressing Through the Storm: Discerning God’s Will During Difficult Times with additional titles always underway. New Wine and Bread are his most recent publications of devotions and meditations!
For several years now, Adam has been on staff with the Ministry Collaborative - an organization that is ‘committed to developing pastors and congregations for creative leadership in their community.’ Adam is an Associate Editor for the Journal for Preachers and regular writer for several blogs and featured regularly on several podcasts.
Adam is multi-vocational. He works in IT as a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Professional to support his family.
Adam is married to Adrienne A. Mixon, a Certified Mental Health Counselor, who is also an Ohio native. They have been married for 30 years. They have 3 beautiful children. and two grandchildren. They have been serving the Zion Spring Church for 24 years.
